I have never been so disappointed by an interview process like this. It is the worst experience ever. Even through they already decided to go forward with an internal candidate, they still pretended to be interested in my background. After wasting hours of my time, they just rejected me by saying everything you have done is great, but what we really want is an internal promotion. So stop wasting others' time if you want to do an internal promotion. No one would like to be a part of it.
