I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at OU Health in Apr 2010
Interview
Interviewed with manager, supervisor, and staff. It took about an hour for each interview. A lot of the interview was focused on figuring out my personality and career motivations, as well as explaining the job and worksite. The interview process depends on the unit being hired onto. Some units have an interview process more focused on assessing critical thinking skills. Some nurses are hired by walking around the unit and being asked questions by other nurses.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here versus blank, blank, and blank?
It was quick and painless. Did a zoom interview and was offered a position the next day. The questions were all pretty generic but otherwise seemed applicable to my career and position.

Interview
I was so so excited for this interview. I prepared to no end, dressed the part, and was very positive and engaging. What I got in return was a series of basic nursing questions and scenarios. They didn't ask ONE question about me. Not one. Clearly, they were more interested in hiring robots instead of personable and passionate people. I didn't feel welcome at all, nor did I feel they wanted to give me the time of day. I was asked to do a peer interview, but declined.
