The process started out totally normal. The recruiter reached out to schedule an interview with the HM. It went well, got offered a 2nd round interview with another PHD who said there's a case study to complete (excel analysis) but I only get 48 hrs. Since it was a Friday and she didn't want me working on the weekend, she offered to send it first thing Monday morning, to be due on Wednesday. Monday morning rolls around- I receive the take home as expected. Seems pretty easy based on my first glance, I start time mapping when I can finish each question. About 3 hours later, I get an auto-rejection email from Jobvite, saying they're moving forward with another candidate. Of course, I assume this must be in error. Because why would the interviewer have sent me the case study if I'm not moving forward? After 2 hours, no response from the recruiter, I finally email the interviewer. She profusely apologizes for the mixup and says the recruiter should be reaching out, if she hasn't already. Spoiler alert: it's been 72 hours and the recruiter never reached out. Really perplexing how I was removed from the process without the interviewer's knowledge and even more terrible that there's a clear lack of communication, or even follow up after such an egregious mistake. Pretty awful candidate experience. The team should keep in mind that the healthcare space is a very small world- people will always remember how they are treated and word travels quickly.

I don't know why I keep applying at this place, they NEVER have their act together. Job descriptions never seem to match what they are actually looking for once you're on the phone for the screening and the recruiters always come off as inept, disorganized or in the latest case, kind of rude. The screening felt like an interrogation. Hard pass, three strikes, you are OUT Oak Street Health!
Did not love the process and were not clear on what attributes they were looking for. I did not have a pleasant experience, and so would not recommend it to a friend.

It was really unorganized. They do not follow up with you and you end up being ghosted with little to no communication. It was quite apparent that they had an internal candidate they were prioritizing and the senior VPs and regional directors were rude and unprofessional. Very disingenuous organization / team
