Brief 30 minute telephone screening with the recruiter for this position. It went well and the recruiter showed lots of interest in my candidacy. She said that she wanted me to move to the next phase in the process and meet with the hiring manager. She told me to send my availability to the recruitment coordinator (whose name she didn't get right). So I did. I sent my availability to the Recruitment Coordinator who responded she was glad to hear I was moving on in the process and that I'd hear from her soon. One week went by, heard nothing. By mid-week the following week, I emailed the Recruitment Coordinator asking if she wanted me to send additional options of my availability since what I sent her was for the previous week only. She responded fairly quickly that they decided to move forward with other candidates with more F&B experience.
Ya think someone from the Recruitment Team - the recruitment specialist or the coordinator would have let me know this? I only found out because I reached out to them.
A company that make no effort to communicate with prospective employees is not a place where I would want to work. I can't imagine the communication is better once you're in. This tells me their level of professionalism and accountability is pretty low. Not worth pursuing!
