I was successful in the telephone interview and was invited to attend an informal video call with a team leader and the recruitment agent as they mentioned my skills and experience was more than impressive. The recruitment agent appeared to be in a onesie which spoke volumes of the laid back nature of the company. Great stuff! The team mentioned my skills and experience were more than impressive but was unsuccessful as I "wouldn't be a good fit for our small team". Unsure as to the reason of this as the role predominately involved a large focus on following up Twitter responses "Sorry about that! Please DM us" "Where did you hear from us?" "When comparing energy companies" "Oh brilliant! Did you go with us in the end?" "Ahh, no I actually went with another energy firm" "Ahh, we'll have to cut the interview there then, haha" Some friendly banter was had in the call and I personally felt the team was extremely friendly. Part of me feels maybe the fact I didn't switch with them went against me? Why lie when the team could no doubt check anyway.. lol. With how the exchange went on the call, It didn't appear to go against me but maybe this was the case? Also, in the interview, I was told it was recommended to speak "Octopussy" and that I would need to be able to juggle many balls.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ All the best & success in the future, Octopus Energy
