Firstly started off with a telephone interview like a pre-screening for the role and logistics with Mollie from Instant Impact which was then followed up with a Skype Video call later on that day when we went more in depth about the role and my experience (had some competency based questions during this too). After getting through the Skype call, was then sent over an email from an external company with Verbal and Numerical tests which had to be completed within a certain time frame - Mollie was really helpful on this, she sent me over some tips and advised me to go over certain things I would’ve covered during my GCSES (fractions/percentages/averages) - i strongly recommend recapping on these and you’ll be fine during the tests! After completing and passing the verbal and numerical tests, you’re then invited to attend a Discovery Day via Zoom which you participate in two group tasks and then a 1:1 interview with somebody from Octopus Energy. It’s actually really fun and you get to meet a lot of people within the business and ask any questions you may have about the job and so forth. I’d advise to speak up during the tasks and show enthusiasm as you are assessed by different people from OO during each task. If you’re successful in the Discovery Day you will then be invited for a final call with Octopus Energy where they will ask you some more competency styled questions and find out a bit more about you and why you want the role. Overall it was a thorough recruitment process but Mollie from Instant Impact kept me informed and in the loop at every stage of the process - she really did make sure I was confident and ready for each stage and this really helped calm my nerves!
