First of all id like to thank Aasimah and all the team at Instant Impact, they made the interview process enjoyable and offered great tips and advice which you should definitely use to your advantage! I applied to the Warwick office in February 2021. There are 5 steps to the interview process, step 1 is a quick phone interview with an agent of Instant Impact where you will briefly discuss the role/logistics and set up a skype interview with the same agent which is step 2. The skype interview is mostly competency based questions regarding customer service but do some research into the company as this will help you at later stages also. Step 3 is to complete a numerical and a verbal reasoning test within a time limit, again Instant Impact will supply you with all the info you need to revise for these. The questions are GCSE standard at most but can be difficult under the time limit with graphs and data to read. Step 4 is a virtual assessment day where you and a number of other applicants from all around the UK, you’ll get a chance to talk to multiple Octopus employees in the same or similar roles for the one which you are applying. Instant Impact will again prepare you for this beforehand, the day focuses on team work and you don’t get the feeling that your competing with the other applicants. Step 5 is a follow up call with two Operations Managers who you will likely have already met on the assessment day. This is quite informal and again enjoyable, at the end of the call I was lucky enough to be offered the job.
