Applied online through the website and HR called for phone screen. Typical behavioral type questions, extremely scripted. You will interview with store manager and district manager. Nothing out of the ordinary.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Office Depot (Austin, TX) in Jan 2018
Interview
Quick Phone screen. Face to face interview..."Sell me a pen" tactic from long long ago. We both laughed & I said really?..GM pointed to his sad questionnaire, shook his head & said "yeah sorry I gotta ask, I need to write your response."
Fair, but to many layers of people to interview with. Had to interview with 4 different managers before getting to the decision maker for the position. Offer was finally made after the fourth interview
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Office Depot (Reston, VA) in Apr 2016
Interview
A very good interviewer and never seemed demanding nor overbearing. A very good manager. The assistant manager had seen me once before for a job fair, but could not find the paperwork I had submitted. When I came this time, he had the paperwork on top of the manager's desk.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me three questions on how I felt the company (and store) should be run, about profit and loss statements, and what I could bring to the team.
