Interview
The interview was with the regional manger and was fairly concise. We talked for about 90 minutes about the job and my interests in where the position could lead. I had a great feeling after the interview until I learned that an external hire would be offered more compensation. I brought this to the Regional mager's attention and she explained that there are additional benefits such as health insurance, bonus program, gold card etc that are considered part of the salary package. After considering all the information I had, I declined the offer because, mostly it would have been a 30% reduction in salary for a 20% increase in hours. Plus I felt that I was not as valued for my years of performance as much as someone that had walked in off the street and applied for the same position.

Interview
The head of the company contacted me to set up a formal phone interview. Then I met with my new potential bosses who did a 2:1 interview to establish knowledge in the field and an understanding of the concept to which this company lead it's fundamentals based off. In the subsiquent following days I was offered a salary and after much discussion about expectations, benefits, and hours we decided together on a justified compensation.
