Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you want this job? This is a tough one since ODU is a mid-level research institution and you need to think about it in this context. This means do your research about the institution as a whole. Unlike Tier 1 institutions where the aims are clearer, this is a murkier one and you will be judged on your answer.

Interview
Zoom interview that lasted about forty minutes. Questions were asked one by one by committee members. Seven questions were asked in total. The chair of the search committee asked that I keep my camera off for the interview. I found this a little surprising, as this has never been asked before, but it didn't make the interview any more difficult.
