Phone Interview, few basic behavior questions then some technical questions in the second phone interview. Technical are pretty standards for quant trading positions like quick mental math , a couple of small brainteasers. it was about 5 questions for each type of interview and around 30 minutes each.

3 phone rounds (can be expedited if good, personally skipped round 2), 1 take home programming assignment, 1 final round onsite. Brain teasers (probability based), EV, betting questions, market making games with deck of card.

Question 1
2 Players (A and B) compete to get a soda from a vending machine, where n coins are required per machine for j machines. The game proceeds one turn at a time. What is the optimal strategy? Does a certain set of machines/coins per machine give the first player the advantage (and same for the second)? Can you guarantee a soda for the player at an advantage?
