I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Old Navy (Bloomington, IN) in May 2010
Interview
I went into the store to apply and was directed to their website for the process. The online application is pretty typical- they ask a lot of questions about what you would or wouldn't do in certain situations at work. They also have a few picture questions where you say what you think is wrong with the photo of the mannequins and the clothes that are folded around them.
I was given a 1 on 1 interview at the store and it went well. There were standard behavioral questions, a few about my personal experience, and then a short role playing stint where I had to convince the 'shopper' to get an Old Navy Card.

Easy group interview. Simple questions about fashion, even had to style some outfits. Show up enthusiastic and everything will go well. Be excited and eager to help people + team mates
Interview was very professional and a portion was an introduction to the job’s tasks, which I thought was very helpful. Interview was in store and on the sales floor. Interviewer was very personable and friendly.
