I applied online using Indeed, desperate for a job somewhere. I received a call 2 1/2 weeks later from the operations manager to ask me a few questions. She asked me about my job experience (and lack thereof) and then asked why I wanted to work for Old Navy. After 5 minutes of discussing, she asked to schedule an interview with me at the end of the week. I agreed, and told her I'd come in on Friday (this was a Tuesday) at 4:00. Friday rolls around and I arrive for my interview, ask for the OM, only to be told she isn't working until 5:00. She scheduled my interview for a time she wasn't even working. So I was asked to come back at 5:00, which I agreed to. I'm generally pretty agreeable but this should have been my first red flag. I came back at 5:00, asked for the OM & was led into the break room at the back of the store. During the interview, the OM asked me about my background, what I like to do in my free time, what I wanted to be once I left high school. The conversation went extremely well, like scarily well, and I was sure I got the job. She told me I'd find out the following day or day after & I left. I watched my phone the next few days & received no call or email. I followed up a week after I was supposed to have heard about whether or not I got the job and was told the hiring manager left Friday (the day I interviewed) and would not be back for another two weeks. Until then, I would not have an answer. I can't say I'm surprised, but I'm surprised. I wouldn't recommend applying to work at the Conroe location purely because they don't know how to communicate properly. Extremely disappointing.
