The first interview was a phone screen by a human resource representative. She was busy and had to reschedule the day of the appointment. The second interview was an in person interview with the hiring manager. I arrived about 20-25 mins early and waited in the lobby. About 45-50 mins later I was escorted to the interview room with the hiring manager. I thought I made it pretty clear that I was early, not late, but she continued to assume it was my fault. I interviewed for a workers compensation Premium Audit position and have more than a decade of experience as a Premium Auditor. Part of the interview process was to do a series of tests. Given my experience and successful progression, I was pretty confident, due to my scope and depth of premium audit expertise in that area. However, the test was specifically based on how to navigate through their specific system. With my years of experience, I've learned plenty of new systems, but how would I know anything about specifics of this particular company? Even without training, I'm confident I could learn it without costing time to train, but there's no way I could answer the questions on the spot in an interview. Overall just a very intimidating experience, even though I've been a long time employee with a much larger carrier.
