Omeros Research Associate interview questions

Applied directly through their website and a week or so later was contacted to do a phone interview. The phone interview was conducted with a recruiter that works directly for the company but knows very little about the science and the role so you don’t get much background on the job during the first interview. During this interview they asked me to tell them about myself, what I knew about the company, why I wanted to work there, and what my long term goals are. They also asked some oddly specific follow-up questions. Two days later was emailed to schedule a zoom interview. The second interview consisted of two thirty minute interviews one with the team manager and the other with a member of the team. Given that this is was an entry level position I was surprised by how many technical questions they asked, as in, the entire interview was asking questions about my work experience and the specifics of the techniques I had used in the past. They kept cutting me off to ask more and more detailed questions which felt very unprofessional and difficult to keep up with. I was definitely underprepared in this aspect so that could be why it felt so aggressive, so a word of advice is make sure you know all the knitty-gritty details of the techniques you have used in the past specific with how they work and how they accomplish their goal. It has been about two weeks and haven’t heard anything so this may be a company that does not notify candidates if they aren’t going to be offered a position.
