      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at OnLogic

      Interview

Had an interview with HR, then a follow-up with the manager, and then another one with a team member. All in all, I spent about three to four hours of my time interviewing and each time feeling worst about the company. As the process went on it started to feel more and more hostile. I asked a lot of questions about the company. I've done similar sells jobs and know what the job is and would rather know about the company I might be working for and more about the products they make. At the end of the interview, they told me that was bad to be asking so much about the company and not the position. Which I felt was very odd. They also talked down my current employer and acted like they were all high and mighty since they were a small company and I've been working for a larger global company. Which honestly feels more friendly then this small company. I asked about how they handled COVID and they gave me a very PR answer and when I asked more about their plan forward they gave the same answer. I also had to do a mock sales call which went fine. I asked a bunch of questions and did my best with that part of the process, but at the end felt super beat up and as if they wanted undying loyalty to the company. Which I’m all for hard work but I have a family too, I asked about accommodations for my obligations outside of work and they acted very put off that I would ask about work life balance. They also acted like its a large honor to meet the CEO and I should be kissing the ground he walks on. I’ve met the CEO of my current company and it was a lot more chill…. All in all at the end of the process I just didn’t feel like they would be a good company to work for. I ended up taking a similar job at another company that offered better work life balance and way better pay.
