I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at OneSpan (Brussels) in Sep 2021
Interview
It started very well and was a positive experience at the beginning. I was the preferred candidate and the last round was coming up. After that, they would make the final decision. They knew my package upfront but right before the last round, they asked me to confirm it again. I confirmed my package and said that I was willing to invest because I knew they could not offer everything. I also showed another offer I received. After a few days, they told me that I was too senior for the position. I was the preferred candidate and we were heading for the final round? They drew that conclusion based on my package, which they knew from the beginning, and my example of another offer? I tried contacting them but got no answer anymore. I was very confused because I liked the company and was ready to go for it. I even wanted to explain what I was willing to let go of. No reaction. So after very nice interviews, a strange move of them, no room for discussion, and the unprofessional attitude of not responding I am glad it did not work out. If this is the culture I am pretty sure mediocrity is the standard.
