My experience with OneTrust's interview process has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. Initially, I was informed that there would be four interview rounds. However, they added an extra round, making it five in total, because my performance feedback in one round was mixed—not negative, but not entirely positive either. Despite this, I successfully cleared that extra round as well.
After completing all five rounds, instead of receiving a job offer, I was asked to wait due to internal position restructuring. They mentioned uncertainty about whether the role would be based in Madrid or London and assured me that I was the only candidate under consideration at that time.
After some more waiting, I was updated that they had decided to hire for the Madrid location, which was the initial focus of the interview process. This time, however, they mentioned that another candidate was also in the running, and the final decision would be between me and this new candidate. They were supposed to come back with a final update, but to this day, I have not heard back from them.
I invested over a month in this interview process, dedicating significant time and effort to prepare for each round. I was genuinely interested in joining OneTrust, but this experience has left me feeling misled and undervalued. If they did not have the intention to hire from the start, it feels like a waste of time for everyone involved. The lack of communication and transparency has left me questioning the reliability of their processes. I no longer trust OneTrust's interview process and would caution others considering opportunities with them.
