I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at OneTrust (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Apr 2024
Interview
I had an HR interview where the recruiter mentioned how difficult it was to find someone with my skill set as the company was growing on the SaaS side and needed someone who knew how to present to executives and deal with large customers. The goal was to help building the US PM practice. I cleared the interview with the hiring Manager and then I was interviewed by two junior/mid level Program Managers and that's where I did not go any further. The presentation that was asked of me was more of an attempt to collect information on how SaaS companies run programs and I had drawn a line how much I could share. I also found the ask unrealistic which was to present a Program I ran in 15 minutes. I also found very unusual being interviewed by junior PMs who clearly have not done global or multi country implementations. They did not ask questions about the job post main requirements. This was a huge disconnect. The female interviewer seemed bothered/ annoyed that My presentation was long. Mind you, a status call with any customer a program size I ran would take minimum 30 minutes. My experience was negative and definitely OneTrust is not a company I plan to apply in future or recommend as I felt the sole purpose of the process was to extract info from SaaS veterans.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
How do you identify Steering Committee members ? From hiring manager
Very few questions were asked by program managers on the second round. 1) was there any conflict in the program you managed? That's a multi country implementation
Do you report program status level separately from project level ? That was a clarifying question from one of the program managers as they do not in their current practice.
