First I started working on a design "test" for the Junior Designer role. I was informed that my skills were better matched for the Production Designer role. I was then given a second test and asked to redo it THREE times to be more in line with their company's workflow. When I questioned them, the recruiter admitted that the company was still figuring out their testing process. I politely asked to bypass the test at this point. I went for an in-person interview.
During the in-person interview, I explain that I am able to use the software in question and just need to learn Ontraport's file management protocol. In the letter I received from the recruiter, they said that I did not have enough experience in one specific area that was not even in the job description! I checked back with the hiring manager and I was actually being interviewed for the Junior Designer job after all, not the position the recruiter told me I was being considered for. I was interviewing for an entirely different job than what I was told. It was also for another department than what was listed in the job description.
Also, one specific skill which I have and this was not listed at all in either of the job descriptions. Their application processes was incredibly costly for me in terms of time. I have heard the same thing from other people in my field.
