I got a fantastic experience as a candidate during my recruitment process. First, I applied on OpenClassrooms website and got an answer the day after. Then I had a 30 min phone call, a 1 hour interview with the hiring manager, a business case and interviews with 6 different persons. The whole process took about 1 month, but I moved very quickly from one step to another. Moreover, it allowed me to gather enough information about the job and the company and facilitated my own decision-making. The business case included relevant questions that were directly related to the job and gave me a good understanding of what I will be expected to do if I am hired. I also appreciated the interviews with managers from different departments because everyone was very open about the challenges they were facing and would expect me to address. The interviews were more like “live” business cases than recruitment interviews most of the candidates are used to. All the people I met seemed passionate about their own job and OpenClassrooms’ mission which is an important factor for me as a candidate as well.
