Frank Han sourced me (I did not apply) and after the phone and video calls, I was invited for an on-site interview within the week due to a competing interview a couple of towns over.
The entire OpenGov interview panel was transparent, asked questions that made me critically think/were unique to my professional experience, and provided an environment that felt familiar/friendly rather than awkward/nerve-racking.
As with any team, it was important to me that I mesh well with the recruiters I would support. Ben Fox and Zach Schoenbart effortlessly described the team's bottom line and how I would contribute to it. In each of our discussions, both clearly explained their respective processes for and dedication to hiring the best talent. The team was candid about the pace of the company and brought up mentorship without me inquiring, which was a significant positive seeing as I was also interviewing them.
Coming from the Recruiting industry, I was impressed with OpenGov's execution and overall turnaround from first phone call to offer. Logistics aside, the little touch points from the Talent Acquisition team along the way and white-glove service created a personal experience and ultimately made OpenGov stand out.
The day after my OpenGov interview, I had two offers to choose from, the other from the competing interview mentioned earlier. It was a no-brainer choosing OpenGov's!
