Interview
Recruiter contacted through Hired.com. Had talk with recruiter, phone tech screen with test engineer on the East Coast, followed by in-person interview which took around five hours, including lunch. Spoke with the hiring manager, a product manager (at lunch), QA engineers (both automation and manual). Friendly people, nice office.

Interview
1. Brief phone screening by recruiter.
2. Assessment that required SQL knowledge, UNIX knowledge, and scripting via Java, as well as open-ended QA and troubleshooting scenarios.
I spent 5 days on that assessment. And it was rejected because of one technical error (1 incorrect SQL join) in my script. That was one question out of 8 multi-part technical questions that each took a few hours to answer. This company is just brutal. I feel like I already worked for them and got fired for one mistake, before a face-to-face interview. Perhaps it's a good thing they didn't consider me further if that is the level of perfection they expect right out of the gate.

Interview
I interviewed for two positions. One was for Software Developer in Test.
The interview went perfect. When I say perfect, it means more that perfect. The entire team was happy to have me and I was very glad to be there to meet the opower team.
After my interview, I was left with no feed back for 15 days. I was sending emails as frequent as I could but no reply. About 3 weeks after my interview , the recruiter got back with am email saying they would like to consider me for a different position , other than the one I interviewed.
I really liked the work OPOWER is doing and even the people I interviewed with. But the Management is hoplelss. The recruiter is the worst I have come across.
I was later interviewed for a different role. The telephone interview went perfect again. I submitted the Skill assesment test for both the roles.
Its been like 10 days now. I have no reply and the same recruiter is not responding to any of my emails.
The Management is hopeless and HR sucks.
NOTE: The always try to match a SENIOR LEVEL PEOPLE(OVER QUALIFIED PEOPLE) for each and every role. May be I was just qualified and not over qualified.
I no longer look forward to their reply.
