I have to mention that it’s my first interview review ever and the only reason I’m posting it is because I had a negative experience and believe things should be improved since attitude of recruiters doesn’t correspond with the image of the company.
Why it was negative:
* Overall process is slow;
* It took more than a week to respond for my homework;
* When I was coming back from lunch with engineers to the office to meet my last interviewer and just stepped out of the elevator I was met by a recruiting coordinator (I have never seen before) and was told that interview is over. It was rather a strange experience since I could not even asked any reasonable questions (I was so surprised). He told me that I will be contacted;
* After more than a week I decided to contact VP of engineering to get any feedback and the very next day I got a call from my recruiter saying that I was not selected;
* I asked recruiter for feedback from the team since my homework highly appraised but got nothing;
* My application is still “in process” on jobvite;
I did expect much better communication and attitude towards candidates and could not imagine that my recruiter will just disappear after the last round of interviews even though they were very excited after I delivered my homework and even wanted to speed up the process.
In my opinion, the fact that I was not selected is not an excuse for not letting candidate know about his application.
