I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Optiver in Dec 2022
Interview
I applied online and was sent a link to a series of online assessments. If you fail at any stage you do not get to proceed to the next stage. The first stage was answering mental math questions. In this day and age, I don't consider mental math to be a necessary skill since most things can be automated. If it is so vital to the job, that skill can be learned in one to two months as you build that capability. It should not be something that immediately takes you out of the interviewing process.

Question 1
Required to answer 80 math questions in 8 minutes with few mistakes. If you don't pass this first exam you do not proceed on to other assessments or get an interview with a person.
Difficult, need to prepare for the mental maths definitely. You can prepare using several online tools but take some weeks. Didnt make it further than the first round of online assessments though.
Just like a normal behavioural interview. Have been asked questions like Why are you interested in quantitative trading and what is ur greatest achievement so far. HR was nice and ask questions based on your answers.
