They were very transparent about the interview process throughout. They emailed and called to schedule an interview and sent the interview questions 24 hours in advance. They made efforts to use time wisely and I felt my time was valued. Specifically, there were multiple OPA2 positions within 2 divisions (I applied to both) and my first interview counted toward both OPA2 positions in which I applied. I was invited to a second round of interviews, one with each division and was given the opportunity to share my preference of which division I'd like to work with if offered a position. Throughout the process, everyone was welcoming and I could tell the divisions took a lot of time thinking through how to make the interview process as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
Unfortunately, I was unable to accept the job offer because of the strict Oregon Equal Pay calculations that determined starting salary. For an organization whose mission focuses on equity, the Equal Pay initiative is not equitable and attempts to de-humanize a process that inherently includes human aspects.
