I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oshkosh Defense (Oshkosh, WI) in May 2019
Interview
Notified that I was scheduled to interview the day prior. Interviewed over the phone and was never contacted again after that. They never sent out a notice to say they did not select me for the position.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Oshkosh Defense (Oshkosh, WI) in Oct 2022
Interview
I was initially given a phone screen for a design engineer position. I did not hear back so I checked in a few weeks later. Upon check in a few weeks later, it was decided that I would be a better fit for engineer Sr. position. I was called in for an in-person interview for this new Engineer Sr. position. The information given through email listed two separate addresses. Luckily I guessed the correct one during interview time. The interview was conducted during employees lunch hours. The interview was in front of a panel of 5 team members. Many seemed confused as to how I ended up being referred for the engineer Sr. position. It was obvious I was not a good fit for the position upon a minute into the interview. Overall the interview process took months to go from phone screen to in-person, it seemed poorly organized, and I think the HR phone screen employee could have done a better job on fitting prospective employees to positions. I will not be applying to Oshkosh defense in the future based upon my experience and the communication received.
