I was asked to migrate 320 SharePoint Sites and 170 Nintex Forms and Workflows to M365, with each Nintex Form being converted to Power Apps. Neither interviewer knew anything about SharePoint or "Nintek" forms as they called them, but demanded that 14 SharePoint Sites and accompany Nintex being migrated every 2 weeks. I asked some basic questions like, "What kind of time is allowed for testing to make sure that migrated Power Apps and Power Automate flows that are created are working properly. I was told that there was no time for testing allowed and that for some of the sites already migrated the interviewers said they didn't have permissions to the SharePoint Online sites and couldn't check the results of their migration. They said that the user's SharePoint sites would be deleted 2 weeks after the migration, therefore forcing them to accept the new site as is. I explained that SharePoint Online is much different than SharePoint on-premise and that users would need time for training. I was told that there wouldn't be any time allowed for training, and if users had any questions they could direct them to the parent company, Oshkosh Corp. I asked what migration tool would be used and explained my preference for ShareGate. They said that there was no budget for that project, so no tools would be purchased. I was told to use the SPMT, SharePoint Migration Tool, which is free. Neither interviewer turned on his camera during the interview. I have never seen such unprofessionalism and utter ignorance about a technical process in my life. It didn''t matter that I was the one with the experience, and they had none, they were going to completely dictate the tools used and the timeline. I shudder that I might have accepted this position, and feel deep sympathy for anyone that did.
