I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Owl Labs
Interview
There was an informational interview followed by two coding interviews, and then a behavioral interview. The first coding interview involved fixing a compiler bug and the second involved describing the behavior of an obfuscated function.

I applied online. I interviewed at Owl Labs (Denver, CO) in Jan 2021
Interview
I found the position and applied via the Owl Labs website. Interview process was entirely virtual (for a remote position, this makes a lot of sense).
It started with an informational interview with HR. My interviewer actually missed the first interview but said there was some technical hitch and we ended up talking about an hour later. I then had an interview with the hiring manager, followed by a coding exercise with the same manager a few days later. The coding exercise was interesting and struck a good balance between looking for technical prowess, problem solving, and ability to ask good questions. That was followed by talking to members of the team I would be working on as well as some people further removed from the team who mainly asked questions about work style and soft skills.

There were a couple of coding problems, one involving modifying some existing code to remove bugs and function properly and another about interpreting already written code, both in C++.
