Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The whole was thorough and well structured. The hiring manager knows what he's doing and provided in depth description of the role, expectations, challenges and direction.
We talked about my approach to Customer Success and how I would tackle certain issues (especially around the customer not using the product after a number of months).
There was a panel interview with technical and sales leads who gave me the opportunity to add some substance and I was asked relevant and intelligent questions.
Good process, with the recruiter who was on the ball and honest. They went for another candidate with more experience in their technology, which makes perfect sense. Positive experience.
Interview was few rounds with some of the leadership team and a panel interview that included a mock practice of a Quarterly Business Review. There was opportunity to get feedback from multiple levels amongst the team.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Own Company
Interview
Was referred to a recruiter who originally told me i was moving forward and then did not get back to me for 2 weeks. Then told me the job was filled and i wasnt moving forward. Just now received an automated email saying i wasnt moving forward, probably a month later. Poor communication and poor candidate experience

Would you be willing to work remote from a different city
I applied online. I interviewed at Own Company (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2024
Interview
I was disappointed after going through the final stages and in the offer stage the hiring manager decided that my prior experience at a non tech company did not justify being within the listed offer range and they provided an extremely low offer. At no point in the interview process was my prior work experience ever in question nor were red flags raised to me. If it had been raised as a concern I would have not so completely shocked at their offer.
