I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at OwnLocal in Apr 2016
Interview
What OwnLocal did was incredibly disappointing. I sent my app and resume through their web site, which STRONGLY (their wording, their arrogance and humor) encouraged everyone with any experience to apply. I did. After not hearing back for many days, I figured "they don't want me. Ok." But then I got an email to schedule a phone screen and got very excited.
What stank was the phone screen guy basically went through my resume and then said "we'll be in touch." There was no coding involved! If all they want to do is go through the resume, they already had it in the first place and didn't need to raise my hopes and waste my time.
No wonder so many people here have put Negative for interviews. It seems once you get in the company's great, but to those applying they treat you rudely and recklessly.

Question 1
What professional projects have you worked on? (which is on the resume!)
I applied online. I interviewed at OwnLocal in May 2016
Interview
I had a phone interview with them. It was the standard "get to know you" interview where they ask questions about you and your resume. He asked me to send in a coding sample after the interview. He had mentioned several times that they were swamped with applicants and gave no specifications on what kind of code to send. So I sent in a simple linked list, thinking it might be helpful for them to look at something they already knew about. I was soon denied to continue on in their (6-step) interview process. I was rather annoyed because I hadn't been given good instructions on what to send in. They could have easily asked for something more complicated, and I would have sent it.
