I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at PLOS (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2018

After the 30-minute phone interview, I was contacted for a follow-up interview at the office in San Francisco. The in-person interview included an "exam" portion followed by two interviews. The total interview was roughly 2 hours, and we had to cut it short.
