I applied online. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
I first applied for the Accel Trainee position on pncsites.com/careers/students. A week later I received a phone call for a phone interview. The interview was very informative, the recruiter gave me a sort description of the program and we 15min interview which consisted of situational questions. ie "describe a time when..." Directly after the interview the recruiter said she was going forward my file to the next stage, and I should be hearing from another recruiter within 2weeks. I then received an email where I had to complete an online branch management assessment; the assessment was a rating system 1-5 scale, of 100 questions. Took about an hour to complete. After passing the assessment; I was invited to Pittsburgh for the Super day event, paid in full by PNC, flight & hotel. Which consisted of a night of mingling with executives, there were hors d'oeuvres & drinks. The following morning we had 1on1 interviews with executives where they asked situational questions, similar to the first interview. A month after the superday I received an offer for the position.
Advice - Don't take online assessment lightly take your time on those questions.
- Make sure you talk to everyone at the mingling session, so the executives
remember you the following morning, during the 1on1 interviews.
- Ask intelligent question, how do you feel about simpson bowles, talk about
the cfpb.
- and SMILE = ) "a lot"
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Atlanta, GA) in Feb 2018
Interview
First Round: One short phone call with a recruiter, probably only lasted 15 minutes.
Final Round: On site interview with 2 recruiters. Not long, probably 30 minutes a lot of the same questions as the phone interview. Received a call back roughly 2 weeks after.

Interview
Very straightforward behavioral questions, work experience, and questions for interviewer. Had a pleasant time and made it to the final round interviews. However, had an exam conflict and could not make it, which I was then informed I would get a call to reschedule. The call never came, and I was eventually sent a rejection email.
