After sending my resume directly to the hiring manager (co-owner), I had a brief phone interview to screen my qualifications. From there, I was invited in to meet with the leadership team first, and then came back to meet the entire staff to get a feel of the culture. It is an open concept office, so meeting and liking the team was a big component. Cultural fit is just as important than skill set here.
