I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PSA Airlines (Greenville, SC) in Aug 2015
Interview
They had an open house interview at a hotel in Greenville, SC. The website said by invitation only but anyone can come. They said to arrive early because only the first 100 can get in. A group of employees introduce themselves and tell us about the company. One man was super mean looking and never smiled. A lady named Tracy in HR was friendly but didn't seem to be a huge part of the process. There were three flight attendants. One spoke about being a mom and how you could miss out on events. The flight attendant supervisor Gwen was funny and I felt like if she didn't like you, you would not get the job. They talked about pay. They claim you only make 15000 a year. I've worked for a major airline and the hourly pay was lower. The best part is that you get flight benefits just like American Airline employees. I was super excited about the company. I believe it is the best regional to work for. Most people were dressed in Navy suits with white shirts. They then call you up in rows to the front and ask you to state your name and ask a question. They give you a card to read. I was super nervous and my knees were shaking. Some girls had tight hoochie looking clothes on and stripper type shoes. One girl was showing visible tattoos and was wearing a tank top. Another guy had wore jeans. After that we took a 45 minute break and were called into two different rooms, american idol style. I instantly knew I didn't make it when I was called with the hoochie mammas and the girl with the visible tattoos. I am 38 and thought it could have been my age but older woman made the cut. I do not know what happens when you make the cut because unfortunately I did not. They seemed to like the super bubbly people. One girl was super funny and bubbly- she even sort of messed up but it was funny and she got to the next round. Another girl that stuck out was constantly smiling and was friendly to everyone. It reminded me of college sorrity girl. I think looks meant a lot but not everything. One lady was very pretty and blond but totally bombed her question and was asked back. I wore crop pants and a black sweater. The crop pants were buisness style and at my ankles but I think I was visably shaky and not confident looking. I was shocked by some people that didn't make the cut. Most of the people that did make the cut were dressed very nicely, naturally friendly looking, and smiled a lot. It seems like a great company. I cried when they told me I could try again in 6 months. lol. Good luck and I hope this helps.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
How do you establish rapport with people? Someone before me got asked the same question. I was thinking what the f does rapport mean. lol. after looking it up now it totally makes since why they would ask that.
I was only asked one question but here are some of the others.
If you could have dinner with someone in history who would it be and why? That seemed to be the hardest question. Since I know nothing about history I would of bombed that one. So get a person from a history book and have an answer.
