I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PSA Airlines (Columbus, OH) in Nov 2015
Interview
You can apply online or just show up to a hiring event, you can check on where/when they are and the requirements on their website. Make sure you fill out an app online before going to the open house interview. They were accepting 100 to ours in Columbus but only 50 showed up. Still, don't get complacent. Be early. They went over the job and how little you make, the requirements of being away from home and all that. Then they ask you a random question. Make sure you actually answer the question, a few people didn't answer the question directly and they got eliminated when the time came. And, no matter what, BE CONFIDENT AND SMILE! They are watching you. Dress in a suit and cover any tattoos. Don't wear anything too tight or too revealing. People they were ill dressed were eliminated even if they had good answers. Be energetic. Ask questions. Stand out but don't look like a suck up. Make them see you as a flight attendant already.
After we answered a question and read an announcement out loud (I highly suggest practicing this beforehand in front of a mirror you are nervous about public speaking) they give you a 45 minute break to decide. Out of the 46 or so that stayed, 22 of us were chosen for the face to face, which is a panel-style of three people that all interview you separately. They'll ask you typical interview questions (why do you want to leave your current job, questions about dealing with a difficult customer, etc) as well as airline questions (what would you do if you got based in a state not near where you live, why PSA, etc)
