      Flight Attendant Interview

      Dec 19, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Charlotte, NC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at PSA Airlines (Charlotte, NC)

      Interview

i attended the open interview in charlotte on 12.15.15. out of the 96 people maybe 20 were dressed 100% correctly and from my research this was being a suit(pant/skirt) and a white button up blouse(neutral colors), panty hose, closed toe flats/pumps. I wore a black blazer/pant suit with pearls my hair was pulled back, natural makeup, light wine lipstick, neutral nude gel polish, smiled alot it was a long process they talked about the company then let you out for a break after you came back your entire row stands in front of the panel and you ask one question and ask you to read a few lines from a card. in my experience this was really your only time to stand out, which seems very flawed. people have noted that they watch you all during your breaks and ect. however i was very aware and there was no way the 7 recruiters could watch all of us . they made the first cut at about 1230. i did not make the cut, and i was honestly insulted that i was in a professional suit and was put in the second room with rest or the people being cut.the ladies in that room were wearing low cut dresses and skirts, with frizzy hair. I followed the exact attire from the flight attendant on the website. the recruiters talked about how they like all their flight attendants to look the same and said that the flight attendants there were "perfect" these women however wore next to no makeup and their hair tied back, didnt look perfect to me. yet most of the women picked had bright lipstick, blouses with multi colored patterns, high* high heels(open toes mostly which shocked me), jackets and blazers with lint all over it. i like to dress fashionable and hip too but purposely didnt because i knew it wasnt business professional. i thought this was a professional company now im not so sure. luckily I have other interviews coming up my advice to you is dress whatever way you want because they picked most young-like styles over business professional, be sure to wear heels and answer your question with the most obvious answer and smile and stand still when your in front of the panel. good luck
