I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PUMA (London, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
Very long process. Applied in February and the interview process continued for up to three months due to complications on the PUMA side, but they were apologetic. Very friendly interactions made the interview level very accessible, but could be more difficult for some as you're set 2x time-demanding briefs (a written/visual task and a presentation).
Was set an initial written task (which could be executed in any medium, the more creative the better) then a phone interview with the recruitment agency (this was the hardest part as they're assessing whether you're right for their client but they also offer some valuable critique), then a Skype interview with PUMA, then a face-to-face interview at the office (incl. a presentation – they give you a brief in advance and feels very informal and relaxed) then a final Skype interview with the senior employer.
Although the interactions were positive, overall experience is negative as the process was unnecessarily dragged out, and miscommunication meant that I was told the final verdict over a week overdue to the original stated deadline with poor feedback.
I applied online. I interviewed at PUMA (Nuremberg) in Jun 2024
Interview
Laid-back interview, they were very nice and approcheable. The interview was easy, the typical questions came around. To say something negative: when asked for the salary they didn’t tell because they didn’t know.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Do you own any Puma products?
2. Do you know what the role is about?
3. Why do you wanna work with us?
It was a very relaxed interview, felt very conversational rather than a formal setting. Usual questions were asked like:
- share about yourself and your past experiences
- strengths and weaknesses
I had two interviews with different people, they overall went well. They were overall smooth and felt like a conversation more than an interview. The first interview was with HR and the second was with the department.
Many thanks for your feedback about your application as Marketing Intern. We are happy to hear you had a positive experience overall and want to wish you the best for your future career.
