You will need to take a series of two separate sessions of testing. Upon becoming qualified (passed test) they will call you for an interview. It's not a guarantee you will get an interview. Becoming qualified for a position does not get your foot in the door but you have a good start. They also have what's called "hiring hall". It's for temp workers for PG&E. Your not a full time, perminant employee. But you get good pay and some experience. Great way to get your foot in the door.

I was called in for an in person interview without a phone screening prior. Interview consisted of a panel of 4 people of various titles. Due to PG&E reorganization, the position was no longer available a month after the interview.
