Interview

It began with a 30 minute phone screening, during which I discussed my background and qualifications. Following that, I was invited for an in-person panel interview at the PG&E office in Oakland, where I met with four interviewers from the department.

The interview started as a conversational discussion before moving into structured questions. The first few questions included:
“Tell me about yourself.”
“Tell me about a time you felt unsafe in the workplace.”
After that, the panel transitioned into a mix of behavioral, situational, and technical questions related to the role.

The process was fairly quick and straightforward. There was an initial 30 minute phone interview, a few days later I received an invitation to an in-person interview that lasted for about 2.5 hours. Part of the interview was making a presentation but the topic was up to me. They asked pretty standard questions, at the end of the interview I was asked to solve a problem to test my analytical skills. Overall, it was not a difficult process.
