I interviewed for the Senior Program Manager. The interview was scheduled for 45 minutes but concluded after about 15. I didn’t perform my best — I tended to answer too quickly instead of pausing to analyze each question. The panelists’ body language made it clear that I wasn’t the right fit, and that’s okay. I do not expect an offer, but I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to interview and learn from the experience. For future candidates: be ready, breathe, and think before you respond. The questions were thoughtful but required composed, situational answers: How would you handle a difficult stakeholder? How do you propose policy changes when there’s resistance? How do you ensure psychological safety at work? Even though it wasn’t my strongest interview, it was a valuable learning experience. PG&E’s interview process is structured and professional — just be prepared to stay concise and confident.
