I knew the hiring manager very well before i got hired since we dusscussed the academic issues in some conferences. I saw a job posting online which was very similr to his research area. At that time I was looking for a new position so I applied immediately. I also checked with him and it turned out that he needed a person for replacement. I was given an offer soon without an interview since we knew each other quite well.

Two rounds of interview. First round lasted for one hour. Second round consisted of an one-hour seminar and several one-on-on meetings. One-on-one meeting lasts for 30 minutes and met with scientists. At the end of the day, you will meet with their HR.
