Interview
The process went really well, Had a few hiccups with using teams but we got it all to work. The questions they asked varied with difficulty, which I thought was really good.

I applied online. I interviewed at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (Richland, WA) in Jun 2017
Interview
On-site interview. Did not get interview itinerary until arrival and the interview was 4+ hours without warning. Confusion between interviewers and scheduling. Scheduled interviewers did not participate and halfway through the interview the scheduled conference room was taken. Was not paid back for hours of driving when it was said it would be done.
Several one on one interviews with candidate. Group interviews (2 or more current techs and manager etc.) of candidate. Tour of area that would be applicable to job. Lunch and further interviewing.
Ran into some interviewers that belittled "technicians" for their rankings right in front of their cubicles. Interviewer commenting on colleagues on hiring practices and not liking another for not having the right degree, but having to have to meet the "Scientist" quota. "I think all bachelors level graduates should be technicians" was one of the first comments from a lead scientist.
Fortunately, manager was courteous and professional as well as some supervisors met. They described PNNL as a great place with many opportunities. Some technicians were professional, laid back, and down to earth.
Negative review is due to unprofessional scheduling, reimbursement, and some inappropriate comments and questions.
