Interview
I had a phone interview with PNNL on December 2015. The interviewer was really nice and kind. He explained details about the job descriptions and what it needs to be done if you come to pnnl. Mostly he asked technical questions based on the resume. Example, he asked that if I know how to use certain techniques, and he wanted me to explain it. Mostly, as a research associate, they did not ask about advanced techniques just basic laboratory skills.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (Richland, WA) in Apr 2021
Interview
The interview process overall went well. The interviewers were all very friendly and did their best to make me feel comfortable. They mostly asked me questions about the projects I had listed on my resume, and if I had heard about/had experience with certain technologies. I was honest and answered no to most of those questions, so I thought I bombed the interview, but just three days later I received an email from my future manager saying that they were already working on getting a project lined up for me.
