I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pacific Sunwear (Folsom, CA) in Jul 2012
Interview
I turned my application in sometime in the beginning of June and got a call a month and a half later about going in to an interview. I was interviewed with two other people. The other girl I was interviewed with was a natural and was answering the questions perfectly so I wasn't feeling very confident about my chances of getting hired. We were asked about 30 questions or so, but they were pretty straight forward. After we finished all of the questions, we went back to the store and the manager told us to pick out an outfit, head to toe, from the store and then show it to him and tell him why we think it's the best outfit and basically how we would sell it to a customer. I got a call the next day offering me the job.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What do you consider your greatest accomplishment?
Pretty easy, had me practice making an outfit on the sales floor. Pretty basic interview questions about your experience with sales, risk management, and customer service. I did not end up taking the job because it was only offered as seasonal

Question 1
What is one time you faced a challenge and how did you overcome it?
The interview was quick and easy. It was a group interview and we were asked about our favorite brands and as well as our schedule availability. Hired on the spot

Very casual interview. They really want to see your personality and how you’re able to communicate. Questions were asked such as why you want to work there, describe a little about yourself, etc. plus they’ll have you create an outfit from the sales floor.
