The interview process itself was really easy. Had an over the phone interview with a recruiter, a zoom interview with the hiring manager and a final meet the team. Everyone was really nice and asked basic/standard interview questions. My only complaint is the lack of professionalism on the recruiters end. The recruiter had to reschedule our initial call. That’s totally fine and it was rescheduled to 9am the next day. But the next morning I get an automated email and see the call is rescheduled AGAIN to 4pm. I emailed asking to confirm which time we’re actually meeting and got no response. They just called me without confirming (luckily I was free). After my meet the team, there was absolutely 0 follow up, support or communication and I basically got ghosted. I emailed enough times to warrant a response. It wasn’t until I told them I had other job interviews that they responded with “we’re talking to the team today! Will get back to you!” I never heard back. Also in the middle of this, they posted another job I felt fit for. I reached back out to the recruiter basically asking to send my resume to that hiring manager if this opportunity fell through. I got a response within minutes saying “I will send your resume to the hiring manager!” I replied with something along the lines of ok so I didn’t get the other job lol????????? A week or 2 later I got an automated email saying the job was “closed”. I know recruiters are busy or whatever but stop leaving us in the dark. Candidates are spending so much time/effort throughout this process and this felt like a total waste of it.
