Received an email to set up phone screen. Once we completed the phone screen I knew it wasn’t a good fit. The recruiter could see that too as I was not invited to continue.
I was surprised to be asked a behavioral question in the interview as I have found that jobs at this level rely more on experience rather than specific behaviors. It’s been a long time since I’ve been asked a question like this.
What I find most upsetting is that I received a generic template email letting me know they are considering other candidates. If you have spoken with the candidate directly the best thing you can do for candidate experience is to at least give the courtesy of a personal email.
