I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Palantir Technologies (London, England) in Feb 2022
Interview
These are the interview steps:
1. Hackerrank
2. Karat interview
3. HR call
4. Onsite
5. Hiring Manager
1. Hackerrank:
I didn't do this step because a recruiter reached out to me.
2. Karat interview:
Karat is a third-party interviewing platform, where interviewees are connected to Karat software engineers and are interviewed by said software engineers. The interview started with a 5 min introduction, 10 mins for 3 time complexity questions, and 45 mins for as many Leetcode questions (typically mediums) as you can solve. I was able to solve the 2 questions and that was enough to move on to the next stage. The interviewer was very nice but they are very strict with the time so be sure to keep that in mind.
3. HR call:
Typical HR call with behavioral questions.
4. Onsite:
3x1hr interviews back-to-back. You will get one Decomp (similar to system design)), one Learning (they teach a new concept that they think you've never seen before), and one typical Leetcode question (med-hard).
5. Hiring manager:
1hr interview which is half behavioral and half coding. Coding question was Leetcode medium-hard.
Overall the interviewers and recruiter were very friendly and responsive; however, the interviewing process is quite exhausting.

Question 1
Why choose Palantir, what about tech interests you, how do you use AI in daily life, etc.
Just the pre-screen behavioral round, was asked: why are you choosing to get your master's degree, what classes do you enjoy, what are you looking for in an internship? Seemed like just a deep dive on my interests, didn't even ask why palantir.
