- 1st step: phone call with an HR from the New York office. Just have general questions about the role and my previous experiences. Passed - 2nd step: remote interview with a SWE from Munich. General questions about me and the role for 10 minutes, then question on "how to design the algorithm to make Spotify's Discover Weekly (answer: comparison with Page Rank algo where similar songs are the links and the websites are the actual songs. Then proposed various methods to describe the correlation/engagement). Passed - 3rd: Technical Interview (remote). 3 interviews for one hour each.

Regarding the technical interview 1. like a system design oriented interview. Design an app with an event that triggers an alert for our customers. It was not completely clear how to proceed for me - if with a more system design or coding approach. MAKE SURE TO UNDERSTAND EACH QUESTION. ASK QUESTIONS (I should have done this more) 2. Coding question like LeetCode (two pointer based, I don't remember exactly the question). Did it quite well I think 3. Learning Interview: Learn their internal language to make queries

The hiring manager round got really deep into my career motivations
I had behavioral interviews and then 4 in person interviews. The behavioral was straightforward. There was also a data query interview where they taught you a new "language" and had you execute basic queries in it. Then there was a system design interview. I had two of these. The last one they asked me if I was deployed to the moon to identify new species of alien what kind of system would I build.
