I was referred to the role via an acquaintance and received a communication from the recruiter in 2 days after I applied asking for availability for the recruiter chat. I provided the slots but didn't hear back for 3 days and after multiple follow ups, the recruiter replied mentioning she would call in 2 hours! The conversation lasted for the standard 30 minutes, after which she mentioned she would let me know the result within the next one week. Since I didn't hear back even then, I followed up for 2 consecutive days after that period, but was completely ghosted by the recruiter. I understand companies ghost candidates sometimes due to the large volume of applications they receive, but usually when a candidate has given even the first round of interview, it is simply professional courtesy to respond with a result within the specified timeframe. I also experienced this exact incidence when applying to them for summer internships. Overall, an extremely negative experience for me which will make me think twice before applying here again.
